Bio Details

Matthew Downie



Matthew is an executive compensation professional who has supported clients on a variety of mandates, including executive and director compensation, corporate governance, and incentive plan design among both public and private companies across a range of industries, including Energy, Mining, and Utilities. Additionally, he has experience with special situations such as CEO transitions, IPOs, and M&A.

Matthew is a CFA charterholder and graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta with a major in Finance and minor in Business Economics and Law. In his final two years of his undergraduate studies, Matthew was selected for the Program for Research and Investment Management Excellence (PRIME), a student-run portfolio management program at the University of Alberta. Through PRIME, Matthew gained experience with portfolio management, equity research, and financial modelling.
