“Energy Trends in Executive Compensation”
In this interactive session, Ryan from Southlea Group will provide an overview of current and anticipated pay trends within the energy sector and across Canada. He will specifically focus on short- and long-term incentive designs to highlight how plans are shifting to reflect current economic, market and talent challenges.
This session will also address the immediate and pressing challenges associated with the incorporation of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors within incentive plans. We will look at how companies are currently incorporating ESG measures and share key guiding principles that can help support go-forward design changes. Ryan’s presentation will include insights based on Southlea’s research and client experiences, and he will engage the audience throughout the session so that participants can also learn from each other
Bio Details
Ryan Reesch is a founder and Senior Partner of Southlea Group. He has 20 years of experience consulting to complex organizations across North America on executive and broad-based compensation including the related governance considerations. He is often the named executive compensation consultant representing either the human resources committee and/or management. Prior to forming Southlea, he worked in Willis Towers Watson’s Toronto and Vancouver offices leading many of the practice’s large client relationships.
Ryan leverages this expertise to bring stakeholders together and drive meaningful change aligned with key business and talent priorities. He is known for providing fresh and innovative thinking with his most recent research focused on connecting environmental, social and governance (ESG) with people and pay programs.
